Description

How would you describe your project to a 6 year-old child?
Your environment. Everything around you. We look at what’s going well, what’s not, and we tell everyone about it, as much as possible.

What are you listening to?
The data around a targeted issue, and specialists: often researchers or stakeholders in the field. A mix of specialists and people who want to learn. We listen to the statistics, we listen to what people are telling us, we listen to what is proposed (projects). Porous, fluid and constantly changing.

Question

Are we listening to everyone? How do we get everyone interested in speaking and being heard?

Méthods

We use methods of statistical comparison. We organize gatherings, including presentations from experts on the targeted issue, panels. We start with framing questions. From there the programs unfold, and are put in place the following year (ex: grants for education). We facilitate the creation of connections around an issue (ex. Domestic violence, peace movements).

Fondements Théorique

People cannot work in silos. Sharing means that we have more knowledge about what is being done on living forces. Sharing can create collaboration. Collaboration creates a complementarity. From data we use science to create a systemic change.

L’importance de l’écoute

Listening opens the possibility for something to be improved. By listening, we take a chance. It is the beginning, then we have to understand what we want to do to move forward.
